This Water Storage Kit is the premier solution for a complete water storage system. This kit contains a durable 55-gallon BPA-free water barrel designed specifically for water storage. This kit is a closed storage system with two plug fittings for convenient filling and drainage. The bucket lid opener allows quick and easy opening of water barrels without lid damage. Storing potable water at home or cabin is a wise decision in case of shortages, contamination, or an emergency. To keep your water storage safe to drink, we’ve included water treatment bottles that purify up to 60 gallons. The emergency water barrel’s four-year shelf life is not affected by partial use of a bottle, and it’s effective on bacteria, viruses and cysts. When used properly, it leaves no unpleasant aftertaste and meets stringent EPA guidelines. Best when stored in a cool, dry and dark place at temperatures between 55°F and 70°F. Actual water shelf life may vary based on individual storage conditions.

Are You Prepared with Enough Water? It is recommended that you are prepared with a minimum of one gallon of water per person per day. That’s two quarts for drinking and two quarts for cooking and hygiene. For example, a family of four will need approximately 12 gallons of water to get through a 72-hour emergency. For emergencies lasting seven days, the same family will need approximately 28 gallons of water. |
Don’t Leave Water to ChanceRemember, water sources can become tainted when exposed to toxins from floodwaters or fire residue, among other common infiltrators. If you are not confident of clean water availability during an emergency, this water treatment and storage kit is critical for helping you stay safe and healthy. |
Water Storage TipsWhen storing water drums, it is recommended that barrels are not stored directly on cement or in constant sunlight, nor that the water be allowed to freeze. It is also recommended that barrels be stored no more than two barrels high for safety purposes. |
